Andres Calabia is a recognized academician and accomplished professional, skilled in topics of space geodesy, navigation, and remote sensing, and with a broad range of analytic techniques, including data analysis and algorithm development. His research interests focus on monitoring Earth's environments through space geodesy and remote sensing, the repercussions of these environments on human activity, and the utilization of geodetic techniques to interpret the planetary variability, and to test, validate, and develop geophysical models. In his early career, he has worked as a Geomatics Engineer in Spain and the UK. Then, he completed his Ph.D. at Shanghai Astronomical Observatory, Chinese Academy of Sciences, China, and a postdoctoral position at the University of Colorado Boulder, USA. In 2018, Dr. Calabia held an associate professor at Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology, China, and since 2023 he is at University of Alcala de Henares, Spain. Dr. Calabia has been committed to investigating atmosphere variations from satellite measurements in the field of Space Geodesy, striving to establish important international collaboration links, helping to expand international scholarly ties, and promoting academic cooperation between universities and institutions around the world. In addition to his balanced commitment to research and teaching, he is extremely active in the international community, chairing a study group at the International Association of Geodesy, and serving as Editorial Board for several international journals.
